Expectations:

The Green and Gold Guides are a dedicated and passionate group of volunteer students. As a G3, you will provide a student's perspective to our guests by answering questions and showing them around campus. This is a fun and exciting way to share your experiences and help others in selecting a college. To be a member of G3, you are required to attend a weekly class in the fall and spring and as well as some additional training and a weekend retreat. You must also provide at least one weekly tour or event as assigned. Green and Gold Guides typically dedicate 3 to 5 hours a week to the organization. The work is fun, and the benefits last forever!

Interested in being a Green and Gold Guide?
Here's what you need to know:

Qualifications:

To become a member, you must meet the following requirements:

·         Be a current undergraduate student at the University of South Florida

·         Have and maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

·         Be in good academic standing with USF

·         Be positive and enthusiastic about USF!

Application Process:

Applications for Fall 2015 will be available in September 2015. Applications include general questions about the applicant as well as 3 essay questions to help us get to know them better.

If a student meets all criteria for the postion, they will then move on to the interview portion of the process. Students will be invited to a group interview where they will meet current guides and participate in a variety of activities to demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills, creativity, and how well they can think on their feet.

Following group interviews, select applicants will be contacted to schedule an individual interview in which members get to know the applicants on a more personal level. New members will be announced in November before Thanksgiving. If you have any questions, contact the Director of Recruitment, Bryana Wall, at bryana2@mail.usf.edu.

NOTE: The Green and Gold Guides only seek new guides in the Fall semester, so don't wait to get involved!
